Rest in the middle of the Cloud Forest
We are an organization dedicated to conservation, research and education. Our concept of a lodge is a simple, warm and clean facility where you can rest comfortably after spending all day in the woods. When you stay at our lodge, you have access to all of our trails during the day for free (Guided tours are reserve and charge separately). This means that you can be the first to experience the forest in the morning and the last to see it at night.
By staying with us, you can have three delicious meals per night included and the opportunity to sleep to the sounds of nature like no other place in Monteverde. The revenue generated from our lodge is invested in conservation.

All rooms have a private bathroom with hot solar heated water and Wifi. Lodging includes three meals per day. Box lunches may be arranged with prior coordination. Right in the park
Hotel is actually in the park. I paid $90 for a really nice room, and includes park entry and 3 meals a day. So the room really is a bargain. Since it is in the park, you are pretty far from anything else. You can't move around in the park at night. The food is really good in the restaurant and the staff is awesome. Febrary, 2020.

Most convenient spot to see the cloud forest!
My daughter and I stayed here for one night to see the cloud forest and were so happy. Direct access to the park regardless if they are at maximum capacity, entrance fee and meals included, clean, and free parking. We stayed in bunk beds and had our own bathroom. We even got booked on an already full night walk because we were staying at La Casona January, 2019.

First visit to Costa Rica
This is a small basic lodge which provides a comfortable and welcoming stay at the gateway to the Cloud Forest tracks. It is ideally situated and staying at the hotel gives unlimited access to the Forest. It's a beautiful area with stunning wildlife and the guides are terrific - particularly Dennis and Felix who showed and identified for us many of the birds and insects and occasional animals we saw. The lodge itself is comfortable and warm and the staff are fantastic. Noelia who runs the front desk and Karen who runs the restaurant are absolutely lovely - helpful, efficient and welcoming - and the food in the restaurant is great. I couldn't recommend it more for those who want to explore the Cloud Forest and see all the wonderful things it has to offer. Febrary, 2018.

Unique travel experience
My husband and I stayed here for two nights and had a great time. We came to Monteverde to hike and see wildlife. We decided to stay at the Lodge because it is right in the park and we wanted to get in early. The access to the park was great and the food was really tasty. The lodge is pretty isolated though so it may not be the best place to stay if you want to do anything else in Monteverde besides the park. March 2017.

Excellent place to stay / visit
La Casona lodge is a great place to visit in Monteverde. We were a family of ten and the lodge was great! We all enjoy the night walk and the hikes in the reserve are beautiful. The team is really welcoming and the food is excellent. Weather in much colder and humid than other parts of Costa Rica so be prepared. December, 2015.
