We open the option for volunteering with the intention of drawing youth closer to a complete experience of conservation in the Monteverde Cloud Forest. The volunteers help in distinct areas related to the maintenance, reparation and construction of the trails in the forest and sometimes in technical functions that they plan to develop during their stay. With this opportunity of volunteer service, the participants interact and get to truly know the Monteverde cloud forest much better than the
majority of tourists that only visit it for a few hours.
They will also work closely with the personnel of the Reserve and foreigners can practise and better their Spanish as well as get to know the customs of Costa Ricans. Many volunteers also work on educational projects of environmental character, investigation and in bettering the experience for the visitor. The work is assigned according to the experience of the volunteers and the length of their stay.
