Terms & Conditions for web reservations

Policies for guided tours and tickets:

  • Prior reservation must be made for any of the guided tours.
  • The minimum for all tours is 2 adults.
  • No reservations are made for entry to the reserve without a guide.
  • The hours in which the Natural History Walk tour is offered are: 7:30 am, 11:30 am and 1:30 pm, with an approximate duration of 2 and a half hours.
  • The Natural History Walk tours outside the established hours can be coordinated in advance, for this a minimum of 09 adults is required.
  • The special walks tour for bird watching is offered in a single schedule at 6:00 am with an approximate duration of 6 hours.
  • The guided Night Walk is offered every night at 6:00 pm, with an approximate duration of 2 hours.

Policies for the Natural History Walk tour for children:

  • Children between 0 and 5 years old do not pay entry or tour.
  • A family with only one child between 6 and 9 years old pays only the entrance. A family with two children between the ages of 6 and 9 pays the entrance fee and the value of a guided tour for both of them.
  • Every child over 10 years old pays for the tour and entrance.

Policies for the Night tour for children:

  • A family with only one child under 9 years old does not pay for the tour.
  • A family with two children between 6 and 9 years old pays the value of a guided tour for both of them.
  • Children over 10 years old pay for the full tour.
  • All children between 3 and 10 years old who use the transport service must pay for the service the sum of $ 3 for each one (transport from hotel to reservation and vice versa).

Policies for La Casona Lodge:

  • Lodge guests do not pay admission to the reserve.
  • The environmental education classroom will be provided to those groups of students who require it, at no cost, as long as they request it in advance of the visit.
  • The discount for student groups will only be made to groups larger than 12 people.
  • The discount to groups of students will be made as long as it can be proven that the group is a student, by means of a note from the respective University or College.
  • The hostel packages are sold complete, they are not divided, nor are discounts made for services not taken.

Cancellation Policies:

  • Money refunds will be made only when data such as the number of people have been entered by mistake and this must be corrected. Or a medical justification is presented indicating that the visit to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve or the reserved services is not possible.
  • For cancellations of services, they must be done 30 days in advance of arrival, and 100% of the money is returned, if it is not done before 30 days, the 100% charge is made and the refund does not apply, this for any reserved service.
  • All refunds take approximately 15 to 22 business days.
