Natural History Tour
Learn while exploring the trails of the cloud forest! On this 2-hour-and-a-half tour, you will learn about ecology, natural history, and local flora and fauna activity inside this changing habitat in its transition to a rainy forest.
Bird Watching Tour
Quetzals, bellbirds, tanagers, toucans and more! Monteverde is home to more than 400 species of resident and migratory birds. Halfway through this 6-hour tour, you will enjoy delicious Costa Rican gastronomy at the Raíces restaurant.
Night Tour
Wake your senses with the mystery night sounds of the cloud forest and the magic glow of the bioluminescent mushrooms! On the Night Tour, you will learn about amphibians, reptiles, and insects' roles in climate change studies. (Mixed or private groups, 10 people maximum).

Los Cusingos Bird Refuge

Visit one of the last high-humidity premontane forest strongholds in southern Costa Rica. Along with its biological relevance, this protected area was home to Alexander Skutch, one of the greatest ornithologists in history. Located in Quizarrá, Pérez Zeledón, you will find the Skutch family house museum, superb bird-watching trails; pre-Columbian archeological stone sites; and our famous orchid garden.
