Sustainability and Management Transparency at the Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve

The Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve is managed under the highest national
and international sustainability standards. Nationally, the Preserve has
pursued certifications such as the Certification for Sustainable Tourism (CST).

Internationally, it is currently a candidate for the IUCN Green List. Both
programs promote best practices that ensure transparency, clear
communication with stakeholders, and well-defined procedures for
addressing inquiries, complaints, and all matters related to protected area
management.
